Collagen Breakfast Coffee

Collagen Breakfast coffee will benefit you when you drink it by stabilizing blood sugar levels, rather than having coffee with milk and sugar, that spike blood sugar levels. Plus, it will give you a boost of energy because MCT oil is a quick source of fuel for the body. You’ll feel the energy of the coffee throughout the day, but without the jitters or a crash later.

MCT (or medium chain triglycerides) are derived from coconut oil, and provide the body with energy that is easily absorbed, rather than stored as fat in the body. Rather than being absorbed through the digestive tract, it goes right to the liver for quick energy. I also like using coconut oil in my coffee because of the additional health benefits of coconut oil (immune support, antibacterial etc), and gives it a bit of a coconut taste!


Grass-fed butter, which is much different than conventional butter, is added to the coffee for a boost of healthy fats. Grass-fed butter contains omega-3s (which are anti-inflammatory, and support brain health) and fat-soluble vitamins, including Vitamin A, D, E and K. Adding the butter in also provides healthy fats to keep you full and satisfied.


Collagen supports healthy skin, hair, nails, joints and gut health. It contains amino acids, including lysine, glycine, proline and glutamine. Glutamine is an amino acids that helps to strengthen the gut lining.


Cinnamon is beneficial to add to the coffee because not only does it help to balance blood sugar levels, but it also is a powerful antioxidant.

MY FAVOURITE RECIPE:

1 cup organic coffee

1 tbsp coconut oil or MCT oil

1 scoop collagen

1 tbsp grass-fed butter

a sprinkle of cinnamon

optional add-ons: cacao, vanilla, stevia

Add all ingredients to blender and blend until all ingredients combined.
